Mount Clemens Bank Robbed During Lunch Hour

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and FBI are looking for a bandit who robbed the Huntington Bank on Main Street and Cass Avenue in Mount Clemens at 12:30 p.m. Monday ( 07-21-08 ).

Macomb County Sheriff Mark A. Hackel says the man, who doesn't fit the description of at least two other bank robbers who have been hitting the area in recent months, implied he had a gun but none was seen. The man walked in, told the teller he was robbing the bank and the clerk put the money in a bag.

The suspect is black man, 40 to 60 years old, with an average build and wearing a baseball cap with an emblem on it and orange pullover-type shirt.

He walked out of the back entrance of the bank onto Walnut Street. No one saw him once he left the bank. The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office at 586-307-9358 or email at sheriff@macombsheriff.com or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up
